Description
My name is Monica and I have been a home carer for over 7 years. My passion drove me study BTEC Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. I am a female carer who provides hourly and overnight care, and I am known for my caring, friendly and helpful approach. The motivation behind my caring nature is to help people lead independent and fulfilling lives, regardless of their age or limitations.
I am able to drive and have my own car, which allows me to provide assistance to clients who need help running errands or attending appointments. My skills are diverse and include bathing, toileting, assistance with dressing, catheter care and companionship. I have experience in caring for individuals with mild cognitive impairment, bedbound clients, those with anxiety, depression and stroke patients. I also have experience in providing support for individuals with complex needs including young adults, autism, learning disabled, mental health and dementia.
In my spare time, I enjoy hobbies like painting, walking, puzzles, decorating, and gardening. I am also comfortable with pets like fish, rabbits, birds and turtles and consider myself an animal loving individual.
